The Vocationist Sisters at Magic Kingdom Day Nursery and Kindergarten are committed to excellence in early childhood education. By providing a program dedicated to the appropriate growth and development of young children within an outstanding and compassionate learning environment, we are helping children to build an excellent and enduring foundation for future academic, social and spiritual development.

We are dedicated to presenting an encompassing curriculum which addresses the many dimensions of young children and fosters social interaction, intellectual stimulation, spiritual awareness, physical development, and emotional growth.

An essential component of our mission at Magic Kingdom Day Nursery and Kindergarten is to provide a safe, nurturing and loving environment in which to optimize each child’s growth and potential to expand at his or her individual pace. It is our mission to inspire the children with a love of learning, and provide them with the foundations for literacy.

At Magic Kingdom Day Nursery & Kindergarten, we believe that human development can be stimulated, encouraged and motivated. For this development to be positive and enduring, children must be allowed to create and gather learning experiences at their unique rate of development, and to feel successful at learning without pressure. At Magic Kingdom, we provide a safe, clean, high quality child care facility offering a stimulating learning experience within a loving a caring atmosphere. Here the children can grow and develop because they feel known and loved. Here they can learn more about themselves, others, and the world.

We know how easily children feel the impact of the world around them, and so we are diligent in maintaining a stable atmosphere with efficient management, continual staff training and a strong dedication to the children. To meet this essential commitment to our children we:

• Understand the power of our words and encourage the children to progress academically and emotionally through words of praise or encouragement when needed, or after a task or performance has been accomplished.
• Seek the help of parents or guardians in the education of their children.
• Use play to assist children in acquiring knowledge of their environment so they may have the opportunity to express and represent what they know or imagine.
• Establish a partnership between parents and the school. This bond, coupled with the child’ participation and development in a loving and nurturing environment, will set the stage for growth.
• Afford the children varied and meaningful experiences that enable them to develop emotionally, intellectually, and socially.

Magic Kingdom Day Nursery & Kindergarten follows The Creative Curriculum®, which supports learning through discovery & exploration. This curriculum supports developmentally appropriate goals and objectives for children within four main categories of interest: social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language.

• Social/emotional:  Promote independence, self-confidence and self-control. Children learn how to make friends, how to have group interactions and how to follow rules.
• Physical: Increase children’s large and small motor skills.
• Cognitive: Encourage thinking skills by solving problems, asking questions and thinking critically.
• Language: Foster communication. Children learn how to communicate with others, listen and participate in conversations, and recognize various forms of print. Children begin to recognize letters and words and begin writing for a purpose.

This curriculum is comprehensive, research-based system designed to help educators implement a developmentally appropriate, content-rich program for children with diverse backgrounds and skill levels It is based on 38 new objectives for development and learning that are predictive of school success and aligned with state early learning standards.

Magic Kingdom Day Nursery & Kindergarten offers flexible half-day, full-day and extended care options Monday – Friday.

Standard Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Extended Care Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and/or 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
available for an additional fee

Full-days: available 3, 4 or 5 days a week

Half-days: available 3 days a week from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Kindergarten Enrichment: available 5 days a week from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Magic Kingdom Day Nursery & Kindergarten employs a team of dedicated faculty and staff members who are committed to the success of your child.

The school is run by the Vocationist Sisters, who founded the school in 1988. The Sisters, along with lay teachers and aides,  care and educate students. The school also employs two full-time cooks, who prepare nutritious breakfasts, lunches and snacks  for the children each day. A dedicated maintenance employee keeps the building and grounds well-maintained for the safety and security of the students.
