My name is Sr. Maria Lourdes. I am a capable childcare assistant with over 10 years’ experience who is determined to have a meaningful effect on the lives of the children under my care. My goal in becoming a preschool teacher is to contribute in a positive way to each child in my class. I can inspire a warm, safe and secure environment for the children to develop and learn. My intention is to promote a child’s physical skills, intellectual abilities, communication skills and creative expression through our educational curriculum program.
In addition to maintaining a commitment to professionalism I have satisfactorily demonstrated competence in working with young children through an assessment by the CDA National Credentialing Program and earned my Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. I have completed my mandatory training for First Aide and CPR as well as health and safety. Furthermore, I received my associate degree in Religious Arts at Assumption College for Sisters and graduated from College of St. Elizabeth with my Bachelor degree in Theology.
